You’ve just come across one of the most beautiful and conveniently located areas in the Blue Ridge mountains. Welcome to Blue Ridge, Georgia. Our friendly mountain community was founded in 1887 when just one year prior the  “Marietta and Northern Railroad” came to Fannin County. As a result of the railroad, the town flourished.

The golden age of railroads is long past, but thanks to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, you and your children can still ride the same spectacular route beside the Toccoa River where steam engines rumbled over a hundred years ago.
